Mental Health Day Treatment Center

The New Day, Inc. Day Treatment Program provides accredited therapeutic and educational services.  All services and activities are tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant.  The Day Treatment Program is available to youth in our group homes and youth from the community.  Our staff, including licensed mental health therapists and licensed chemical dependency counselors, are trained to work with youth of varying abilities and learning styles.  We teach youth the skills they need to become confident and productive and to feel good about themselves and what they can accomplish.  Our staff is trained to acknowledge every accomplishment, and to provide feedback, correction and recognition that help youth learn new and positive behaviors.

The Mental Health Day Treatment Program includes:

Social Skills Development

We teach social skills in everything we do, whether we’re having lunch, playing basketball or doing classroom activities.  We use problem solving and role playing to teach young people how to deal with the social situations they find so difficult.

Therapeutic Interventions

Licensed Mental Health Therapists oversee all program activities through Experiential Recreation, Individual and Group Therapy and Family involvement. The Day Treatment Program targets the specific mental health and chemical dependency treatment needs of each youth.

Specialized Academic Programming

Each youth’s educational program is specifically designed by a certified special educational teacher.  Every classroom is overseen by a certified teacher who is there to help each student meet their unique needs.

Intensive Co-Occurring Treatment

New Day's Four Dances Co-Occurring Recovery Model is a comprehensive integrated approach that addresses both addictions and mental health issues at the same time.

Cultural and Recreational Activities

Activities include canoeing, hiking, repelling, and mountain biking.  The Day Treatment program also includes participation in our equestrian program.

This program is also available during the summer months for eligible youth in the community.
