Four Dances Outdoor Adventure Program

The Four Dances Outdoor Program is a 60 to 90 day residential, outdoor adventure program for adolescent boys and girls (age 13-17) with behavior problems associated with chemical dependency and mental health issues.  The Four Dances Program is fully licensed by the State of Montana.

Youth enrolled in the Four Dances program receive therapeutic, educational, and cultural services in both an outdoor setting, and traditional classroom environment.  All activities are supervised by compassionate and experienced mental health professionals and licensed educators with extensive outdoor experience.

Whispering Pines, our fourty acre camp in the Bull Mountains, and other rural locations provide the perfect environment for participants to learn and grow.  This "natural classroom" enables staff to reinforce lessons and teach new concepts away from the trappings of civilization.

Participants are encouraged to pursue overall well being by challenging themselves spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically.  We emphasize the importance of leadership and help our participants develop the qualities and personal character required to be leaders in their homes and communities.

The simple truth is:   an "experience" is the best way for young people to grasp the concepts of well being, self-esteem, and leadership and to develop healthy habits.  This natural approach has proven to be very effective with American Indian and non Indian youth.
